| Installation Network Services is upgrading the UTK Campus data network. In preparation for the cutover phase of the upgrade, installation teams will begin installing new equipment in November starting in buildings as specified in the building schedule. If your building does not figure in the list, please check back later for updates. What users can expect Users may notice Installation Team members going in and out of closets where network equipment is located. All team members are required to wear an official NTS identification badges. Installation of new equipment should not affect service. Communication Email notification will be sent out to people who have registered to receive automatic email updates via the Subscribing to Net Events. Also OIT-Events will be posted before a building is upgraded Help Information Installation of new equipment should not affect service. If network outages do occur, call the Help Desk . A HelpDesk representative will address your problems and dispatch a trouble ticket to the Implementation Team if needed. Building Schedule Dates are changing as the Network Upgrade Implementation Team progresses across campus. Check this web site frequently to stay informed of our movement. |
